How to Look Up Baseball Card Values

You can use Mavin to get an accurate value estimate. Enter a few details about your card to see recently sold comparables. Pick a few comparables, or “comps”, by clicking the checkboxes. This gives you a very accurate estimated value for your baseball card.

Enter the Card Name and Number

Start your search by entering a few basic details from the card:

• Enter the Year. Look on the back for the copyright year, or the last year of stats.
• Enter the Brand.
  For example… Topps, Upper Deck, Bowman, etc.
• Enter the Card Number. Found on the back of the card.
• Enter the Player’s Name. Optional… sometimes the year, brand, and card number is enough.

Narrow it Down

If you get too many results and want to narrow it down, you’ll need to add some additional details. For example, you may want to include or exclude graded cards. This will give you a much more accurate estimated value.

• Enter details like Grade if your card is graded. For example… PSA 9 or SGC 8.5
• You can filter out cards NOT like yours by adding negative keywords. For example… -PSA will remove all PSA graded cards from the estimated value calculation.

Choose Comparables

You can narrow it down further by using the checkboxes to pick a few cards that are exactly like yours. Click on the pictures to find the results that match your card, then use the checkboxes to select those matches. This gives you the average value based on the comparables you picked.
